DST (Digital Shield Technology):  One of the major comments on the F75 is that it is extremely noisy and more subject to electromagnetic interference (EMI) than many other detectors.    The F75 is an extremely deep and extremely sensitive machine, so the noise seems like a fair tradeoff that fans of the machine have learned to deal with.   The noise still causes me mental fatigue during long sessions so it would be nice to address it when I want.  The DST feature gives the user the option to reduce the amount of noise due to EMI.   It is debatable whether DST affects depth and sensitivity.  If it is optional as I’m told, then it is a very nice feature to have.   Turn DST on when you need it.

FA (Fast Process):   Early indications are that the Fast Process alone is totally worth the cost and trouble for the upgrade.    Apparently using this process dramatically increases the F75s response and ability to pick desirable targets that are in extremely heavy iron and trash.   Audio and visual indicators on non-ferrous targets in heavy iron should be dramatically improved with the Fast Process.

4 Levels of FE tone:  Iron Audio Off, Low and Medium added to existing High setting.  

Adjustable Audio Pitch:  With the upgrade, you can adjust the audio pitch in Discrimination mode.

LCD Serialization:  Your F75s serial number will be stored electronically in the machine now, which is excellent for security in the event your machine is lost or stolen.
