Minelab X-TERRA ELITE Features
Which X-TERRA ELITE Bundle Is Right for You?
Choose the $479 ELITE Bundle if you want the detector, its V12X coil, a Minelab Carry Bag and a Shell Pouch, and already have the digging tools and headphones you prefer.
Choose the $599 Expedition Pack Beach Bundle if you want the additional V8X coil, ML85 wireless headphones and Beach Bundle tools. The smaller coil gives you another option for working around obstacles and closely spaced targets.
Bart’s recommendation: If you need wireless headphones, a second coil and recovery tools, the $599 Expedition Pack Beach Bundle is the package I’d point you toward. If your accessories are already covered, the $479 ELITE Bundle keeps things simple.

Minelab X-TERRA ELITE Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the $479 and $599 bundles?
Both use the same X-TERRA ELITE detector and include the V12X coil, Minelab Carry Bag, and Shell Pouch with a regular-price purchase. The $599 Expedition Pack Beach Bundle adds the V8X coil, ML85 wireless headphones, Minelab gloves, digging tool, and stainless-steel sand scoop.
Does the Expedition Pack include a different detector?
No. The Expedition Pack adds equipment to the same X-TERRA ELITE detector. You get another coil, wireless headphones, and the listed Beach Bundle accessories.
Do I receive two bags or two pouches with the Expedition Pack?
No. The regular-price $599 bundle includes one Minelab Carry Bag and one Minelab Shell Pouch.
What changes when I use the military discount?
The $479 ELITE Bundle loses its Carry Bag and Shell Pouch. The $599 Expedition Pack Beach Bundle loses only its Carry Bag; the Shell Pouch and all other listed equipment remain included.
Does the X-TERRA ELITE work on saltwater beaches?
Yes. Multi-IQ and the Beach search profiles make it suitable for dry sand, wet salt sand, and shallow-water detecting. Adjust settings for the conditions at your hunting location.
Can I take the detector and headphones underwater?
The detector and supplied coils are waterproof to approximately 16 feet or 5 meters. The ML85 wireless headphones are not waterproof, and wireless audio does not work through water. Keep them dry and use suitable waterproof audio equipment or handle vibration for submerged detecting.
