2. I'm new to metal detecting. What detector do you recommend?
We highly recommend starting with the Nokta Double Score or the Nokta Score, both listed at $349.
Mid-level options we recommend are the Nokta Score 3 Pro Pack at $499. It comes with a standard coil for everyday hunting or beach and a smaller coil for the trashy park areas, which is extremely valuable! Also, it comes with wireless headphones and right now a free Nokta Accu point pin pointer that ties in wirelessly with the headphones. We offer free shipping on all orders over $70 within the continental U.S. For orders under $70, a flat $9 shipping fee applies.

The Minelab Manticore is widely considered the best metal detector on the market today for serious hobbyists and professionals. For relics, Iron, and trash, I recommend the XP DEUS II with the 9" coil.
