Minelab Equinox 700 Metal Detector with Free BBH Bundle - No Tax

Regular price $749.00
Sale price $749.00 Regular price

The Minelab Equinox 700 metal detector is built for detectorists who want strong Multi-IQ performance, detailed target information, and a lightweight, waterproof design without moving up to Equinox 900 or Manticore pricing. It is equally comfortable searching parks, old home sites, fields, freshwater locations and saltwater beaches.

The Equinox 700 combines Minelab’s simultaneous multi-frequency technology with a 119-point Target ID scale, adjustable recovery speed, improved iron handling and three search environments with two profiles each. Its three-piece carbon-fiber shaft weighs approximately 2.8 pounds and collapses to about 24 inches for easier transport.

$749 Equinox 700 Package with Two FREE Minelab Accessories

Big Boys Hobbies includes a Minelab padded detector carry bag and Minelab shell/finds pouch at no additional charge with the regular $749 package.

You also receive free shipping, no sales tax outside Oklahoma and free lifetime support directly from Bart.

Why Choose the Minelab Equinox 700?

The Equinox 700 occupies a useful middle ground in Minelab’s detector lineup. It provides more target information, adjustment, and physical refinement than Minelab’s entry-level models while remaining simpler and less expensive than the Equinox 900 and Manticore.

It is a particularly strong choice for someone who wants one detector for several types of hunting. Multi-IQ handles changing targets and ground conditions without requiring constant frequency changes, while selectable single frequencies remain available when you want more direct control.

Equinox 700 Features and Benefits

Multi-IQ Simultaneous Multi-Frequency

Multi-IQ processes multiple frequencies together for versatile performance across parks, fields, beaches and changing soil conditions.

119 Target ID Segments

The expanded scale runs from −19 through 99, providing more identification detail than earlier-generation Equinox models.

Four Selectable Frequencies

Choose 4, 5, 10 or 15 kHz when you want to hunt with a specific single frequency instead of Multi-IQ.

Three Recovery-Speed Levels

Adjust target response to suit open ground or sites where desirable targets sit close to iron and modern trash.

Improved Iron Handling

Adjustable Iron Bias helps manage difficult ferrous targets while preserving your ability to investigate nearby nonferrous signals.

25 Sensitivity Levels

Fine-tune sensitivity for faint targets, difficult ground or electrically noisy locations.

Waterproof to 16 Feet

The IP68 control unit and EQX11 coil can be submerged to 5 meters or 16 feet.

Lightweight Carbon-Fiber Shaft

The detector weighs approximately 2.8 pounds and collapses to about 24 inches for storage and transportation.

ML85 Wireless Headphones

Minelab’s low-latency ML85 wireless headphones are included in the factory package.

Depth Pitch Audio

Depth Pitch changes tone according to signal strength, adding another way to judge targets before digging.

Lighting and Vibration

A red LCD backlight, illuminated keypad, LED flashlight and handgrip vibration support low-light and noisy-location hunting.

Rechargeable Internal Battery

The 5100 mAh lithium-ion battery charges through Minelab’s magnetic USB charging connection.

Six Search Profiles for Different Ground

Park 1 and Park 2

Park profiles provide practical starting points for coins and jewelry in lawns, schoolyards and other locations containing modern trash. Park 2 emphasizes smaller and lower-conductive targets.

Field 1 and Field 2

Field profiles are suited to open ground, older sites, coins and relic hunting. Field 2 provides a useful starting point where target and trash density are higher.

Beach 1 and Beach 2

Beach profiles are designed for salt conditions. Beach 1 is commonly used on dry or wet sand, while Beach 2 is intended for surf and submerged saltwater detecting.

Gold-mode note: The Equinox 700 does not include the dedicated Gold profiles found on the Equinox 900. It can still detect small gold with Park 2 or Field 2, but customers who primarily prospect for natural gold should discuss the Equinox 900 or a dedicated gold detector with Bart.

  • Relic hunters searching fields and older home sites
  • Beach hunters working dry sand, wet salt sand and surf
  • Freshwater and shallow-water detectorists
  • Original Equinox users wanting a lighter carbon-fiber shaft and updated controls
  • Customers who want more adjustment than the Vanquish or X-TERRA lines
  • Hunters who do not need the Equinox 900’s dedicated Gold modes and second coil

Bart’s take: The Equinox 700 is a good fit for someone who wants serious Equinox performance but does not need every adjustment or the small extra coil included with the Equinox 900. It has enough control for experienced hunters while remaining manageable for someone moving up from a simpler detector.
