Weighs approximately 2 lbs. Includes search coil cover. Note: Updating your Vortex detector to the latest firmware version is critical to ensure proper coil performance and accurate Target ID.

The current firmware required for each detector is as follows: firmware 5.02 or higher for VX5; firmware 7.02 or higher for VX7; and firmware 9.09 or higher for VX9. Due to its unique connector, a Vortex search coil is not compatible with other Garrett detectors, such as the ACE series, AT detectors, or Apex.
