If you plan on taking your XP ICON or XP ICONX into the water, the XP Aerial Antenna is an important accessory to have.
XP detectors communicate wirelessly between the search coil and the detector's control system. Once the search coil is submerged, water interferes with that wireless signal. The XP Aerial Antenna acts as a waveguide, carrying the signal from the submerged coil up the detector shaft so communication can continue while you're hunting in the water.

How Does It Work?
Wireless radio signals have difficulty traveling through water. When the ICON or ICONX search coil is submerged, the aerial antenna provides a pathway for the detector's signal to travel from the coil to a point above the water.
This lets you take advantage of the lightweight wireless design of your XP detector while searching submerged targets.
Perfect for Water Hunters
The 130 cm antenna length is well suited for typical water detecting where the search coil is submerged while the detector and control system remain higher on the shaft or above the waterline.
