Two Coils for Two Different Kinds of Detecting
LG30 12-Inch × 9-Inch Search Coil
The LG30 is the primary search coil supplied with the Legend Pro Pack. Its elliptical shape provides useful ground coverage while remaining easier to maneuver than an oversized round coil. It is a strong general-purpose choice for parks, farm fields, beaches and moderately open relic sites.
LG15 6-Inch Search Coil
The LG15 is not simply a spare coil. Its smaller detection area helps when several metal objects are close together. It is useful around old foundations, curb strips, playground equipment, heavy iron, dense modern trash and areas where brush or obstacles restrict coil movement.
Having both coils lets you change the physical size of the search area to suit the location. That can be more useful than attempting to solve every difficult site through detector settings alone.

Frequency and Audio Options
The Legend offers simultaneous multi-frequency operation along with selectable 4, 10, 15, 20 and 40 kHz single frequencies. Multi-frequency is the natural starting point for most general detecting and beach hunting, while individual frequencies let experienced users tailor the response to particular targets or site conditions.
Available tone configurations include 1, 2, 4, 6 and 60 tones, plus Pitch audio. Tone breaks, tone volume and tone frequency can be adjusted, allowing the detector’s sound to be customized instead of relying solely on target numbers.
FerroCheck, Iron Filter and Target Separation
FerroCheck gives you another piece of information when evaluating questionable targets such as bottle caps and irregular iron. It does not guarantee a target’s identity, but the ferrous and non-ferrous indication can be considered alongside the Target ID and audio response.
Adjustable recovery speed helps separate nearby targets, while Iron Filter and Stability settings let you control how the detector responds around iron. These controls are especially valuable when using the small LG15 coil at old sites containing nails and other metal debris.
Waterproof Beach and Water Hunting
The Legend is IP68 rated and can be submerged to 16 feet, or 5 meters. Its simultaneous multi-frequency Beach mode is designed to remain more stable in conductive saltwater environments than a typical single-frequency detector.
The included Bluetooth headphones are not designed for submerged operation because Bluetooth signals do not travel effectively through water. Use compatible Nokta waterproof headphones when the detector’s control unit will be underwater.
